I have a SoundStream 480.2 powering two 5 and 1/4 infinity kappa's and with the volume at zero i get pink noise coming through the speaker or the equivalent of smooth static. This doesn't bother me too much but pink noise supposedly heats up the voice coils, right? Either way I don't understand how this noise comes out when i dont even have the interconnects hooked up only thing is Power, Ground, Remote and speaker wires.... I also have my engine bay grounded in various places so i'm not thinking its a grounding issue.. All help is appreciated //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Just to mention something, this deck was previously not grounded, is it possible that the deck tried to use the remote wire as a ground and messed the remote out up?

I even tried using another amp and it did the same thing.

This is also without the car running either.
