pics!!

The close-up of the wire mess is my favorite pic. I dont know why everyone doesn't show close-ups of their wire knots. Like we can make out any important details from 2 feet away. Idiots.
yeah ha that's why i included it, i go to school for audio engineering and you wouldn't believe the mess of cable's we have to deal with, if you're ever in a pro studio take a look at the back of a console and imagine having to wire that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

here's a pic just for fun..

by way this is a 4 channel mixer.. nothing compared to our 32 channel consoles

yeah it's a mackie 1204
The writing and screw by the XLR connectors give it away. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I guess I know my mixers. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Lets see if I am really good...

Is it a Horizon Snake? Because they are the only ones that use those exact connectors and labels.

as far as the snakes i couldn't tell you, we make most of our own cables, so if it's not custom then you're probably right. props
That is what I get for working on pro-audio my entire life. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

What do you use the mixer for?

that mixer was just set up to practice patching outboard effects, they have a couple set up as well as the 1604 just for practice and stuff. you have to go through those before you can get on the large consoles, i'm getting tested on the mackie analog 8 bus this week.

do you work in a studio?

No my dad used to own a large scale touring PA.

He sold it a few years ago, but when we had it my brother and I would go out on the road with it in the summer.

Where are you going to school? Do you like it?

Patching is pretty easy. What sucks is when some jack *** in a lift truck runs over a 150 Channel Snake and totally rips the multipin connector off one end and you have to patch and resolder the whole thing before the show. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

****, you must have some pretty nice soldering skills to fix it that quickly //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I go to SAE, http://www.sae-atl.com. they're worldwide
