About a month ago now, I bought a set of the ID OEM mids off of hessdawg. I've had them installed in my active 2 way setup for about 3 weeks now, and I really like the way they sound....so much so that I just bought a backup pair from hessdawg earlier this morning.
I really liked the CMX Kick mids, and mated with my 12 in a sealed box, they pounded pretty good in my setup. The ID OEM mids have great midbass, also, but I'd give the edge for midbass depth to the Kicks, but not by much. I've definitely noticed that the ID OEM mids have much better tonality and midrange detail, while still putting out an impressive amount of midbass. Overall, I give the edge to the ID OEM's. Below is a side by side pic - notice just how much beefier the ID OEM mid is on the left compared to the CMX Kick magnet structure.
