btw, you putting polyfill in that ported box?

Yes...... It will help slow down the waves inside the box and take out some of the port resonance...... along with lower the port velocity. Should drop my peak at least a few hz.

When I had my two Avalanche 18's I lined the walls the foam shit that you put on beds....... Egg crate shit. and dropped the peak about 3hz and took care of any resonances that I had, but they were minimal to begin with.

just off topic, but isnt it not a good idea to mount subs like that with 2 facing one direction and the other 2 on top ? cancellation issues or something?

In that case you reverse the phase on one set of subs and there will be no cancellation issues.

well.. im sure there is cancellation.. but there almost always is some, and he hasnt complained about a sharp decrease in output so im sure its not a big issue.

cancellation sucks.. when I designed my box it prevented me from mounting my subs inverted since they would be firing at each other... FTL

Reverse the phase (polarity) and there will be no cancellation.

I don't get why people find this hard to understand... happened with my 6 10's setup with 3 inverted too... heh.
