Trying to buy a new laptop today. For the past 5 years ive had a mac book, but wanna go back and give windows a try. Lookin somewhere around 6-900 bucks no bigger then 15 inch screen, dont need a huge hd but 500 would be more then enough. I dont do any serious gaming mostly homework, write papers, research, surf the web, and pictures.

Suggestions?

Anything by Asus. Its been the top quality laptop manufacturer 3 years running. Leader in mobile customer service even above Apple. Ive my Asus M50SV-A1 gaming laptop for 3 years. Not even so much as a HD warranty call. Ive both my Asus netbooks for about 1 year for my wife's and 3 months for mine. Not a single issue with either of those.

Newegg.com - ASUS K52 Series K52JT-B1 NoteBook Intel Core i7 740QM(1.73GHz) 15.6" 4GB Memory DDR3 1066 500GB HDD 7200rpm DVD Super Multi AMD Radeon HD 6370M

500Gb HD, 4GBs RAM, WIndows 7, i7 CPU, 1Gb Dedicated GPU, LED screen. You cant beat it.

That laptop is insanely loaded... TO much for me.. and the OP .. but nice

Asus man Asus. Lenovo is the same company as IBM. They are good computers, but you cant really argue with Asus customer service. They have 3x the ranking as their nearest competitor.

Im shopping laptops but mine is for work so I dont need mucho GB of HD space and ill never do a 5400RPM HD again

Id love to get a laptop with a 90GB SSD........With an SSD processor speeds

go insanely fast and you dont need to throw your money at Intel.....
