I would go with the Kicker one...then sale the box it comes with and build one...and use the other 200 for your front and rear stage speakers if you dont have them upgraded already.

Its a custom box that he had made for his car...2001 honda prelude...So we were going to do some mod's to make it fit n my car.

So what you are saying is that you are incapable of making a decision on your own, so you are calling on the car audio dot com collective to stroke your ego and make you feel better about your purchase?

My recommendation is that you come up with more choices and build for YOUR vehicle versus modifying something designed for another vehicle.

i am sure someone on here is more knowlegeable than i am about car audio...so i want some opinions.

just help me with what is a better system

Kicker L5s are incapable of producing accurate bass. If you listen primarily to rap, they are OK. If you listen to anything else, they ****.

Rockford Fosgate T1 subwoofers.... Really? When was the last time that Rockford Fosgate made a decent subwoofer?

I have no experience with American Bass, but I wouldn't use any of their products.

If you want inexpensive bass, a pair of 12" Type R subs in a custom ported enclosure would be better than any of your previous choices. As for an amplifier, the AudioQue 1200d wouldn't be a bad choice for them. Of course, I could come up with a boatload of other choices too, but I really would stay away from the products that you mentioned.

now the box he made for his prelude.....is it tuned and sized properly for the subs tho? And i agree with the Type Rs...they are relatively cheap and can pound. wat car are you wanting to put them in?

if your concerned with the sq difference of the L5s i would recommend those the amp its a good amp good woofers and will be loud in your car with a correct box. Plus its the best choice for the money.
