i would just get baffles to fit 6.5s...youll be happier overall...i recently done it and am much happier.

Look for 6.5s that come with the 6x8 adapter plates, or roll your own adapter plate. I hate to say it but most 6x8s ****! I've tried just about every brand because I have owned Ford vehicles off and on since 1996 and I have yet to hear a 6x8 that I like.

If I absolutely had to use 6x8s, I would give the Image Dynamics component set a try. Of course, that would blow your budget!

i just bought a ford and it takes 6x8. i have some rockford fosgates that came with it..but they sound like shit..

im doing exactly what these guys are telling u to do.. im using my JLs that i had in the last car. 6.5"s and making a MDF adapter plate for them.

u can also purchase plastic ones off ebay

I could make you a pair out of 3/4" MDF if that'd fit, I'm not sure I have any 1/2" material left. I do have 1/2" ply.

Would need to know the cutout diameter you'd want.

The template I have set up right now is for a 5.5" mounting diameter, roughly...let me know if that'd work for you...

I bought PVC ones from Ebay and they were great. The basket on my speakers was too large for the adapters, but they sanded down great with a dremmel. I can find the exact seller if you want
