Physical noise from subwoofer cone

Just bought Rockwood RFP4410 (10-200 W RMS, 400 W Max, 4 ohm) sub and MTX 4202 (200 W RMS bridged into 4 ohm) and I get physical noise from the sub cone when it moves. Is this a bad subwoofer? I wasn't pushing it hard at all. I had just as much noise from the cone as I had bass so something tells me something's wrong.

Sub is used but in excellent condition, amp is new. Is there a dust cap in the sub cone?

alot of low-end drivers have noisy suspenion.

my audiobahn's make that noise too, but thier is nothing you can do about it.

is it in a sealed box???

No, I just bought it. I just wanted to make sure it worked before I mounted it. Guess I'll have to buy another one.
