how good are these amps>? im considering this or a JL 1000/1 for 2 IDQ12v3 d4's running at 4 ohms also what is a good price of a new or used one? i can get a new never istalled without the box for $400 shipped.

The downside to the Xenon is its size. It is HUGE.... even bigger than the JL Audio. Other than that, the PG makes rated power between 1 and 4 ohms whereas the JL Audio is only rated to do it between 1.5 and 4 ohms. IMHO they would both fit your application well.

You should also consider the Audioque 1200D since its design is real similar to the iA7 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Then again, I believe the Cadence costs a little more but has a better warranty.

The PG is an excellent amplifier, with top mount controls and dual power and grounds. The Sundown is also a proven unit. I have not used the AQ or Cadence to voice an opinion.

some of the first xenon amps had some issues but the later ones were good since they worked the kinks out

I would go with PG,well built amp so is the JL but becuase the JL is Less effecient I like the PGdoes more then rated power.
