Phoenix Gold RSD's... BELIEVE THE HYPE!!!

sigh...I'm so torn as to what to do. Maybe I'll just keep the factory rears powered by the HU and get a good 2ch amp for the comps.
How important is sound deadening?
sounds good, thats what i did. i have the fronts on a nice big amp and i have the rears turned off.

sound deadening is pretty important IMO.

Agreed, deadening my doors was fantastic, not only do they sound so much more solid when I close them, but when driving, the music plays above the road noise soooo much better than ever before. I got 20 sq. ft. of eDead and used it all on my doors and it sounds awesome.

And regarding the amp, I'd say 90wrms per channel and up is your best bet. These speakers can take quite a beating and still hold up great with high wattage!

x2, try to get as close to 150 watts rms per side as you can. you won't regret it. they like power.

Got my amp bridged tonight (running about 130ish to each channel) and they sound GREAT. I am curious why they don't rate them higher than they do. I was worried about going over 60 watts and honestly, even at 150, they have no problems.

Yea tell me about it! I was verrrrrry afraid to crank it, but I can max out my HU to the point where I can't even stand to be in my car and they still plow through it without any trouble!

I'm really amazed at their power handling //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Did you run them at lower power before you bridged them? If so, how much better did it sound at 130 watts?
