Phoenix Gold RSdC 10inch subs

i just ordered a pair of rsdc1244's

blew my rsd's but my god were they AMAZING. i had the loudest car on my campus //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

hey guys. I have talked to the main Phoenix Gold engineer a couple of times. And just to let you guys know he said they underated the subs. As you should already know. But he told me the Rsdc's were actually rated by them at 600watts rms per coil. Since its a dual voice coil sub. The sub could handle 1200watts rms with the both coils.

I have put these subs in numerous boxes. Just to see how it would perform. These subs are amazing for the money. And have been tested against other more expensive subs in the same car, same amp, etc. And have beaten them. And each sub was is its optimal box.

I have the loudest system in my city by the way, which is sweet. Everyone that listens to my system is asking what I'm running. And they say its really loud. This one guy thought he was louder then me because he had two 12's, but he was wrong. And was amazed by the subs. I never heard anyone yet to say that these were bad subs. But I wish I got the dual 4ohm subs now. Then I would of went with two Jbl Gto1201.1 amps. I might get a Audiopipe AP30001D on these subs soon hopefully.

p/s: I didn't know you were on here wakeup.

What about this amp for a pair of the original RSD's...i think i can get away with 900 RMS..but should it be an amp that put out full power at 1ohm?
if you get the rsd10d's then you need to figure out the power at 1ohm.....it says stable at 1ohm but does not tell output

if you get the rsd10's then this amp will work fine

I am not a fan of kenwood amps, as I had a kac 7202 on my rsd's before my bb1250.1 and it would overheat with the gain set to manufacturer specs

heard they were pretty good, heard GREAT things about the rsd subs, the competition subs are pretty new

Awesome SQ subs that hit really low notes really clean. Just don't expect them to get loud at all. They may shake the rear view mirror a little bit but they won't be shaking any body panels loose. I had 2 12" rsd12d in a sealed box before I got my 15 L7s and there is no comparison. The 15s get loud enough to make my wiper blades bounce off my windshield but they don't sound quite as clean as the PGs did.

my 2 10" rsd's make the windshield wipers jump:fyi:

it is not the subwoofer it is your install

oh I thought you were talking about the Rsdc's. tj1320. Because those get pretty loud. Never heard the Rsd's though. My system is quite a bit louder then everyone in my city. This guy with some 15" type r's. I'm louder then him. And it is all about the install.

I have the older version of this amp on 2 RSD12's, and they definately want more power. With gains set properly, it will overheat the amp on longer runs. I wouldn't recommend Kenwood amps for sub stage for anyone, and I would also recommend putting about 700RMS per sub for the RSD series.

I too will be trading off my RSD's for RSDc's soon. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I can't wait to get my rsdc's. I miss my bass //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Blew one of my RSD's and the other has the surround coming off (CA glue has been holding it in place for a while now...)

But yea I blew one by having the RCA's shit the bed. They came unsoldered and crossed paths making one hell of an interesting noise, then it just stopped all together...

The other sub fell victim to a ski pole //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
