I sell both at my shop, I would give the rsd the upper hand. It has more output than the sr. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

That's just proof that pg is underrating the xmax on the rsd subs. The RE has a rated xmax of 18mm 1 way linear and the pg is listed at 13.5 so the re should be louder but you say it isn't and i beleive you //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

There was this other thread that was crackin me up where someone came in and got all pissed off because he is an image dynamics fanfag and he was arguing that the rsd in no way possible could be louder than and idq 12, or maybe it was just the id line, i dunno. and he kept throwing out there the whole xmax thing as solid unarguable proof.

If he knew a little more he would probably know that there is no way to make manufacturers rate their xmax in the same way. Maybe phoenix gold does it at 5% bL variance and RE or ID does theirs at 15%. There is just no way to know which sub is going to have more output without listening now adays. Or which will sound better.

Thats why i was considering the RE cause the xmax is so much higher and i'm doing a sealed box. Thank you AbsoluteAudio and skydeaner for you input. I've pretty much made up my mind on the PG Rsd. For the price I don't see how I could go wrong. I just wish I didn't have to have such a big **** box but o'well.

consider that when CA&E reviewd it they still said it performed well in the 1.2cu ft enclosure. Try that out and pack it with poly fill //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I had room for 1.5 for each of mine plus poly fill and I'll let you know how that goes for me.
