phoenix gold rsd boston acoustics

Well about a week ago i ordered some Boston Acoustics sl60 for 180 bucks havent received them yet but should soon. Then I started reading up on the phoenix gold rsd's and they seem to have a BIG hype and everyone saying there the best for under 200. So I need some opinions. Are the sl60's worth the 100 bucks more? Or will i get better sound by returning the sl60's and getting the RSD's. Also i been reading people are putting about 125 into the RSD's and there only rated at 60. Will i be able to push that much into the sl60's?

i haven't heard your other options but i like my rsd's a lot. i couldn't be happier with them.

i have mine on a ZX550.2 with the gains set using a -3db test tone to 150 watts per side.

the SL's are nice speakers, never messd with rsd's

but they are the boner right now, this forum goes through 50 million and they all are the same, nothing is better than the boner

im not talking down the rsd's though, for the price im sure they are great

Ya im just tryin to figure out what i should

option a Return the SL60's get the RSD's and have an extra 100 bucks cause the RSD's will be just as good or even better then the sl60's

or option b keep The sl60's are worth the 100 dollars more

Unless you've heard one or the other, nobody would know but yourself.

I had a set of SX60's and heard them before I unboxed them. I was not impressed by them, so I returned them in favor of the RSD's (of which I have not installed yet).

The problem with the SX60's was their lack of midbass. Since the SL60's come with a different mid than the SX60's they may be improved. I don't think I'd return the Boston's for the RSD's though, because I believe (at least on paper) the Boston's *SHOULD* be a better speaker. well the SL's are alot better speakers than the sx's

me personally i would keep the bostons, they make some nice speakers, mid and tweets are alot nicer on SL's than SX's

No comment on the PG's but i own the SL60 bostons, and personally i love them. There a very solid speaker, that have good mid bass, in my oppinion excellent highs, and they get descently loud, but really unless you have heard them both then you or no one else can give you a great comparison.
