Phoenix Gold Or Kicker?

Im am looking to get an amplifier to drive a soundsplinter rl-p 12 (recommended 500-800 watts rms at 2 ohm) and I want something for a good price so i narrowed it down to a phoenix gold xenon 600.1 and a kicker kx600.1 on ebay (both right around 200 bucks). So what do you suggest? Any other subs in that power and price range that you suggest? Thanks

Those are both excellent choices, but I would probably go with the xenon because it will do the same power at different ohms... which means that if you ever decide to switch your sub you can without worrying.

I would suggest the Kicker

i meant like it sounds better...i had that amp hooked up to my old mtx sub...and it improved the sq from when i had that sub connected to my old ma audio amp...

If it was my money I would buy the kicker, but I would probably think about laying out the extra cash to get the SX650.1 if I had it. The DSP on the SX amps is quite nice. You could also get one of the SX1250.1's that EcoUNLTD has for sale right now, I think he wanted 800 for both... really good deal.

You'll get more power from the Kicker but the pg is a good amp
