Phoenix Gold Octane Amps

Just wandering what this line of amps is like? Good value for money, or is there something better for the same price? Specifically looking at the four channels.

Ok, cool.

What else can I look for in 4 channel round the $180 mark (we talking ebay prices here!) I can get a Kicker KX800.4 for $185 refurbished. The guy has quite good feedback and seems to sell loads of them too. His username is "Imeverlast". Anyone delt with him?

I havnt heard anything bad about the Octane line, but they are rated @ MAX not rms. Other than that, on SD I have heard of no complaints, but then again, no one ever answers anythin over there anyways.

I help the 15:0:1, and it weghed like 2 lbs...dont buy...it was like a feather compared to my mtx 1501

Weird...I thought the octanes were great budget amps, although lil' on the ricey looking side- pG has always made good stuff

i bought a kx800.2 from imeverlast, real good guy, buy from him, he works for kicker. I havent had a prob w/ my refurbished 800.2

I seen alot of people trying to sell their octane amps around me. There always in the pawn shops... I wanted to run the TI series amps, them amps are nice, but I think I only like them because the three blue lights and the cooling fans, but alot of amps have that now.

Lanzar is pretty crappy to, unless you run with their optidrive amps... I had a 600 watt 2 channel vibe amp, and a 400 watt 4 channel amp, and they pretty much sucked. The 2 channel 600 watt amp would cut in and out running 2 12" 4 ohm subs mono, so I guess it wasnt 2 ohm stable bridged, but the 4 channel amp bridged to 2 channels was pretty loud.

Although I didnt pay for this stereo because I stoled it out of a camaro, because the same guy stoled my 12 inch orion hcca sub and box along with the hcca amp 7 months before he had this. I got my revenge on him, but he came out with the better deal in the long run becuase all i got from him was lanzar amps and Mobile authority subs, and he got my hcca...

dont buy that amp.

i had to send mine back. indo made a mistake and sent my a refurb to begin with. it gives me this noise through my speakers.

i think the higher line of Phoenix gold amps are great. But the lower lines ****.

is that true that the amps are rated at max power and not at RMS? if so, how much power am i getting if my amp is rated at 125x2 @ 4 ohm.
