Hey Guys Im New On Here ... This Is My First Post And Its Really For Only One Reason... Yesturday I Hooked Up My Ms2250 For About 5 Minutes And It Quit On Me... There Wasnt Any Prolonged Bass Notes And There Wasnt Alot Of Draw On My Charging System At The Time.. The Amp Was Luke Warm And Not Showing Signs Of Stress... Its Bridged To 1 Hcca 12 At 4 Ohms, It Has Its Own 4ga Power Wire With Its Own Extra Battery, It Has A Awesome Welded Ground ... The Gain Was About 1/4 To 1/2 As Well As The Boost, And I Use A Phoenix Gold Eq215 With Its Line Drivers Also Set At Half.. I Do Not Know The Max Input Voltage This Amp Can Take And What The Eq Puts Out... The Amp Powers Up With All Systems Go But There Is No Sound Output And The Right Side Clip Light Stays On But Is Dim... There Is Also 1 Of The 6 Led Lights That Are On The Board On The Left Side Thats Out... Is There Any Reputable Repair Places That You Would Recommend... All Fuses On The Inside And Out Side Of The Amp Are Good.. Please Help

Turn off your CAPS LOCK. You had everything gain wise turned up too high and you clipped the crap out of the amp. If you're lucky you didn't damage the board in that amp. If you did damage the board, the chances of getting it fixed are very slim. Good job on killing a true classic amp.

i am sure it's just a gate driver down, voltage reg, or something like that. maybe the contoller for that bank and with the oldschool pgs the controllers were in routine need of replacement. paperweight? no way

i dont know whats wrong with it , i asked for a reputable place for repair.. i dont have a scope , and i loved the way he responded , like this is my first picnic or something... ill out wrench, out paint, or out install the guy anyday of the week

im a collector dude, and like i said this isnt my first picnic... ive never blown anything in my entire life.. this unit was repaired before when i purchased it... i think something else was on its way out down the line... ive had the gains way higher depending on what i was running with it... i use a little signal before i ask the amp to push as much as it can and draw a shit load of power... on the eq as well the clip lights were no where near red, sub volume was low and input gains were at 25 - 50 %... almost nothing to what its been fed before... i wasnt asking it to do anything when it stopped and there was no heat, smell or speaker bark.. it just stopped..

im not some 16 year old kid that gets a new toy and just throws it in... i cant tell you everything about the ins and outs of a amp or identify parts, but i can back up what i say... a stereo install? thats it....? i had 4 cars in the nationals this year that were built by me from the ground up... im a painter by trade and i dont mess around with junk... i asked for help, not to be judged because i had a amp that was repaired before stop working

You still act like a 16 yo kid.

And if having stuff is a measure of merit...

I win.

To get that amp fixed, try over on phoenixphorum.com PG dedicated forum and a bunch of collectors on there. One of them does some really nice repair work, i.e. replaces burned traces and blown out bits of board.

not really, ive owned everything on there except for the lil us amps, and the frank which is just a 2125, the 66 is on the to buy
