Phoenix Gold M25 enough?

u picked that up off ebay huh? great deal that was.

But i do plan in the future to get a bigger amp it just wont be now so i was just wondering if that could hold its own for a while.

 
no lol that thing only does like 75w per channel. and the type r is rated at like 500w each. so no. use the amp for your speakers and pick up a cheap profile amp for now.

I read that manual for it and it said for one of the lights that it would go off if the amp exceeded 250watt RMS. Doesnt that mean it can go that high?

Well if its truly not enough then what would you recomend to run them without spending lots of money?

 
Profile Ap1000 500wrms x 1@2ohm... you can get one on ebay for 100 shipped... brand new.

Or look in profileusa.com... you can find very good deals there if you are on budget

 
You already have it so why not hook it up and see what it does. It may surprise you. That amp is conservatively rated and may have an unregulated pwr. supply, (not sure about that). Either way it may do better than you think.
