Phoenix Gold Elite 3200 or the Alpine 2400 watt?

Is it worth the extra $250 to get the PG, or should I just stick with Alpine for my whole system?

Yes it's worth it. The birth sheets for the elite.1 are usually a smidge over 4000 watts.

I have two alpine type-r 12's, dual 4 ohm.

ELITE.1 - 3200 Watt Mono-Block Amplifier - Phoenix Gold

The alpine isn't 1 ohm stable, which is what I've heard is best to run two 4 ohms at, but I've also been looking at the Sundown 2500 watt. I want something that will last, and that I can upgrade to either two better 12's, or 15's eventually with when I feel like it.
