Selling my Phaze Audio Tube Driver TD1500. Very high end Tube amplifier made by Phase Audio for Butler. I know there is a PPI made version of this amplifier as well but I believe it was different then the Phaze Audio version I cannot find any information about the PPI made Tube Driver amp. Unless PPI had a Sub company called Phaze Audio I am not sure.
Amplifier is in 7.5/10 condition only due to some scratches on the polish aluminum case Mechanical 10/10 after doing another test run with a new Deck.
Spec's
2 x 150W @ 4 ohms
2 x 300W @ 2 ohms
1 x 500W @ 4 ohms bridged
Fuse: 2 x 30A
Uses SOVTEK 5881 tubes
Designed in 1995
Distributed by Phaze Audio in 1996 - 1997
After some trouble shooting, The amplifier wasnt the issue at all, I went to test another amp yesterday and it powered up but no audio... So I tried another deck ZIG we got audioz!
My Old School 1v single pre amp out Pioneer Deck was the issue on my test bench.
Talking late 90's deck here it did the job but I layed it to rest.
I was playing around with a Clarion DXZ775USB deck that I got (5.8v out) And I decided to try the Butler amp one last time before shipping it out.
Low and behold it worked perfectly. I ran the amp for 6 hours on the bench with my Ipod playing though its library off the DXZ775USB. Never once did it cut out or shut down. Ran it 8,4,2 ohm stereo and 8,4 ohm mono.
For the interested buyer we can work something out hell I'll even give some sort of a return deal aswell. I am very confident that the amplifier will not be an issue at all.
Rules on the 3 week return, Amplifier must be professionally installed with proof of sales slip, Amplifier must be ran at its given impedence no dropping it lower then its suggested ohm load.
I might just send it out to get it a clean bill of health on it anyway.
asking 300.00 shipped, If you search Ebay you will see these go for 400-500+ Highly sought after amps for SQ. This is the biggest 2 channel they made back in 1995 I believe.
