PG Tantrum 1200.1 question

i'm pretty much having the same problem you are having. those amps **** a lot of juice out of your alt. i test mine and my volts were droping down to 12. my lights dim so bad they almost turn off completely. before you buy an alt try upgrading the big 3 and see what that does. my pg drains so much power when i have the cruise on and turn the amp on the cruise shuts off because there is no juice.

is it cool if i use a 100 amp anl fuse thats the smallest one i have for my directed audio fuse holder and the shop down the road only has 80's in the other style fuse's. i think the t1200.1 says to use a 80. so would that mess it up or not.

Big 3= Wire upgrades, Atl upgrade, Battery upgrade!

it is all brand new wires. It is a brand new car, so I guess I am just pulling too much out of my elec system.

are you just running that one amp?? I have a 200 amp fuse for my amps.

no i have a amp for my other speakers but they have there own power wire right to the battery. it's just a small 150X2 amp for my 6x9's.

i am running 1700 watts+2 1 farad caps off a 130 alt and yellow top just fine

i got my t1200.1 1491 watts i'll scan my sheet after i reinstall all my stuff, my p.c. crashed hard today and the ups guy didn't knock on the right door so i had to drive hella far to u.p.s. to get my amp, hooked it up there and bumped home, but i really haven't messed with the amp to much it was kinda dark so i just rushed it to try it out but it didn't get hot at all after about a hour ride home from u.p.s.

2 12"L5 sealed, i got it from cbrstereo 366 shipped 3 day u.p.s.`

there in my winter car 94 sunbird, i want to put them in my 99 Z28 since it's getting nice out where i live.

hope you got your amp problems all worked out.
