Pet peeves...

What are some of your pet peeves around here?

One of my biggest pet peeves around this forum, is when you post something for sale, you get 50 emails from members all wanting the utmost of info you can provide to them, and as many pictures as you can get for them from all different angles and whatnot. You obey their requests to prove legitimate, then after your time and effort, they try to offer you half of the original asking price. Once you respond with a price they don't like, off they go, into the wind...never to be heard from again. As I recall, it is common courtesy to follow up with a prior sale interaction with someone. I guess that's the decency of most of the members around here. Not pointing fingures at all, as there are quite a few with that bit of common courtesy, but others you know who you are.

While some will just tell me to **** it up, well yeah, I do. But this is a thread about pet peeves. So let's hear about yours!

Misspellings...

As for pet peeves...

My biggest at the moment is when the g/f borrows my car (her A/C doesn't work) and she makes adjustments to the settings on my HU. Then when I get back in my car and try to listen to...well, anything, it sounds like total ass!

Oh yeah, and nit pickers.

Fingers was spelled incorrectly, yes. A mispelling actually pertaining to my overall ability to rationalize theories beyond you're wildest imaginations, unlikely. I've noticed lately the only attacks on me most of you can even sub-suffienctly provide are errors made due to quick typing, little proof reading-type mistakes. I find that a laugh of my own, as well as just another pet peeve to add to this conversation.

You guys wonder why I try to sit on a thrown in here, you attack me like groups of idiotic lemmings.

you're = a contraction of the two words "you are" The possessive you were attempting to use is "your"

suffienctly = (i assume should have been) sufficiently

thrown = past particple of the verb 'throw' Did you perhaps mean "throne" ???

Hey now, I know you're just kidding, but please leave my career out of this. I don't need it to be the new burden of discussion throughout every thread. Honestly.

I know perfect grammer buddy, I don't always use it in a forum because I type quick and don't proof read too much. The word "thrown" did get me. But anywho, you are just demonstrating an attack of any possible thing you can find, just so happens you can only attack my misspellings. You're not proving much, other than the fact you might be a little unhappy with yourself, so you point out MY mistakes. You are a pet peeve.

By the way, everyone, I've been around the forum for a while with little controversy. I came in yesterday simply stating my outlook on "THE THREAD", which I realize was quite a bit harsh nowafter. I didn't try to make personal attacks, but so I received. I just made the statement about my education so my words weren't simply held as accountable as a 16 year olds, that's all. When people want to join in an argument with me for no apparent reason, rather than to liberally discuss opinion, I tend to try and overpower with what I can, without rambling non-pertinent info. So, yes, I may come off as harsh, but it's usually started by the stupid little comments you guys throw in. I'd liek it to stop, and resume normal conversation on a man-to-man level, if you will.

All that other nonsense aside....chronic spelling mistakes are a pet peeve of mine. (which seemingly would be appropriate for this particular thread) It has absolutely nothing to do with an underlying unhappiness with myself and everything to do with growing up in a household whose matriarch was an educator. Am I immune from spelling and grammar errors? No, I'm not. Not by any means. But someone who displays them with such an astonishing degree of regularity as you suggests that the extreme level of education you supposedly have attained is nothing more than a smokescreen and a rather weak defense to any form of criticism.

Was typing. ^

By the way, a high school sophmore could have passed all the english-oriented classes I embarked on with ease (except for some technical report-type classes possibly). When you start to speak quantum mechanics, thermodynamics and computational fluid dynamics, well, things start to get a bit tougher.
