Perfect Tuning

I have a 3.1 Cubic foot box for 2 10" type-R's. I have 3 3"(Circle) ports and cant decide how long to make them to tune them. I was wondering what you thought I should tune my box to to get the most SPL out of them (I wanna FEEL the bass more). Should I tune it to around 40 hz or something more like 34 hz. I listen to alot of rap, but I also like to listen to some other stuff on the side, Mostly rap though. Any suggestions?

Well if you want to "FEEL" the bass then you need to tune it lower like around 30hz or so. but if you want to "HEAR" the bass louder then you can tune it higher like around 40ish. Also dont forget to take into account the port volume in your enclosure, especially with three ports that can make a BIG difference. Personally i like to "FEEL" the music so i tuned my box to 30hz. Would have gone lower but i don't have the space for a bigger box.
