people who have barns stored in cars etc i have a question

I have this barn that turned into a money pit so I decided to just store it. Well I go out to check on it and I find wires hanging out with my rats. Now I don't want to have these wires choke my rates. I have heard this works and that works, but thought I would come to a forum that know everything about rats,wires,cars and barn.

Thanks for the heads up.

Take some mouse trap and put it in a piece of cheese. This way, the wires will go after the cheese with the trap in it and get killed. Then the rats won't have to worry about the wires any longer.
So, in summation,

1. get mouse trap

2. put mouse trap in cheese

3. trap wires in cheese

4. ??????

5. profit

I like this plan.
