People using 3way active xover on their Alpine hu's (Post here please!!!)

The mid-low and mid-high is the 2 crossover points for the bandpass for the mids. My clarion is a 4-way with crossover points for the sub low, mid and high. That was the only thing i didnt like about the alpine and eclipse active crossovers, no sub crossover.

thats really high. the only reason i could see them being that high is if the tweets are in the a pillar, and that would mean u'd need midranges that could go that high to meet up with the tweets.

yeah so what is usually this set on? i think on 4.0k it sounds kinda hollow or something //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

my eclipse has a dedicated sub crossover //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

What other decks dont have the the Clarion has is capability for a 3way active fronstage-in which you can xover your subs/ midbass/midrange/highs if necesary

That was what i was talking about in the active mode. Does your new eclipse have a 4-way active now?

What you were 'talking about' and what you posted are 2 diff things. Eclipse/Alpines do not have individual channels dedicated for midbass and midrange as the DRZ does. But all have sub xovers. As far as 4way active can only be achieved with a dedck w/ 4 preouts (only one i know of is the drz) or external processing.
