Are sony's HU decent

On this forum i see alot of talk about alpine, eclipse, and pioneer. i know sony makes crappy subs and amps, but are their HU that bad, especially their more expensive ones. i am currently looking at the sony CDX-M8815X. it seems to have all the features anyone would really need. why arent sony HU 's talked about. can anyone give me a reason not to buy it of ebay for like 199$

Not all Sonys h/u are crap as everyone swears by.

I bought a Sony CDX-F7705X h/u with in mind everything people have said about them. Turns out it has very good SQ and nice bells and whistles.

And I bought it for $194 on ebay, which you can get them even cheaper now.

So, Id say dont totally disown sony, b/c SOME of their stuff is actually good.
