im in the same predicament as you but im just going to wait a while yet until directx 10 cards are out

its going to be a huge upgrade when that happens...

no more agp...new mobo and processor

no more DDR...new memory

no more IDE...new hard drives

underpowered power supply...new power supply

only things staying are the optical drives and the case.

Ive got the 6200 OC and its shit with the games I play (Scarface The world is yours... and some games that require alot more then just HIGH memory. I need to get a nice one that isnt just about memory bout about its full pipe line)

Get the X1600XT.

Also, if you have one of the NV43 (old) versions of the Geforce 6200 you can do what I did and open the 4 unused pixel pipelines for a quick boost in performance. They also overclock real easy but I never dabbed into that.

I just picked up the X1600XT XGE 256 MB version.

Im gonna run 3dMark06 BEFORE and After to see what the true difference is.

Im at work right now but I remoted into my home pc and started the download of 3dMark (**** 600MB file) so by the time I get home its installed and can be ran before and after.

The new card LOOKS alot beefer.

Cant wait for it!

Its not the stock 6200 card its the 6200 OC (overclocked by nvidia) so im not to sure how much more over clocking it can take.

BUT im gonna be over clocking the X1600XT thats for sure!!

But I cant seem to get to much information about it only the 512mb version
