sup guys, so after living with a laptop for bout 2 years, my dad bought me a desktop (nothing high end, its a Pavilion 3700+)

spec are:

Processor Brand - AMD Athlon 64

Processor Speed - 2.2GHz

System Memory (RAM) - 1GB

System Memory (RAM) - Expandable To 4GB

Type of Memory (RAM) - PC3200 DDR SDRAM

Hard Drive Type - Serial ATA (7200 rpm)

Hard Drive Size - 200GB

Graphics - ATI RADEON XPRESS 200

any one have any game recommendations for me i used to play alot of rpgs and some fps, so i'd like to stay in those categories

i do not want any online onlys that u need to pay for

yeah he was looking at a new comp for me to work on (requries loads of memory) and he was looking at the pavilion 3500, and i asked the sales guy if it was game worthy, flat out said no but this one (the 3700 which was $100 more) is

well they only had 2 left, and both were open box, so we got this for less then the lower model, and he got me a 19" princeton flat LCD screen:naughty:

yea its definitely game worthy......for the games check out games like....

never heard of halo zero....

and never will i play WOW

anyone else have any suggestions, i'd like to get some older ones, cuz they are cheaper and what not, i'm prolly gonna get the starcraft games again cuz those were an all time favorite

CoD2 is a sick game i played the xbox360 demo, i'll prolly get that in a few months

i'm looking for more sci-fi-ish type games

ya a x800gto is only like 130 or a 6600gt is a little cheaper, check newegg they have the best prices

yeah i know a video card upgrade is a must but i'm not looking to get any of the newer games for awhile

yea stick with the starcraft broodwars for now.....or u could try Halflife counterstrike

You may want to look into Area51, its a sci-fi FPS. I play BF2 and COD2 regularly. BF2 will definitly stress your machine but I think COD2 will run pretty smooth. your definitly going to need a new video card for any new games.
