PayPal Refunds..how long does it take?

Does anyone know when you file a claim w/PayPal how long it takes for you to finally get your money back?

The jerk never sent my battery (since Feb 7th!) yet so I filed a claim on his ***!!

When I had a deabeat seller for a JL 1000/1 paypal had it done in less than a week and a half...

Those rat bastards at batteriers are us (eBay ID:thevbatterycom) still haven't shipped any battery or refunded my money! I filed the claim on the 20th and PayPal is still investigating the claim.

Sure hope they get my $153.88 back soon!

I found Opt. yellow tops at my local auto zone for $159!! after I'd already got screwed by batteries are us!

Your lucky...well, i mean I was out $550 and paypal could only legally get $500 out of his account. The bastard spent some of it before paypal 'robbed him back'

What exactly does paypal do when they "investigate"?

I'm not totally sure. I'm sure they check with the shipping company (DHL, UPS, FedEx, etc..) to see if anything actually shipped and then get statements from the seller. I've already given them a mouthfull when I filed the complaint!

And I call DHL every day to see if anything was ever actually shipped under the tracking/waybill number the crooks gave me. DHL says no every day.

Just an electronic invoice was generated but nothing ever given them to ship.

So there is a tracking number that I'm sure the seller gave to PayPal but I've sent PayPal follow up letters stating what is REALLY going on!

From now on anything much $$$ at all it's credit card payment only!

For an eBay seller to be protected under the Seller's Protection Policy they have to both ship your merchandise within 30 days of receipt of payment and ship using an online-trackable method. No, I absolutely do not find it reasonable to wait a month after sending payment before my stuff gets sent to me. I am just stating to you the policy as it is written. Since the 30-day period has not expired (if you paid on Feb 7..the date mentioned above) the seller is, as of yet, not in violation of any parts of eBay or PayPal's TOS and as such you would not be entitled to a reversal of payment just yet.

**Update**

I can't believe it! This morning in my email batteries are us refunded my money back to my PayPal account!

It was only $149.12 out of the $153.88 I paid because of the PP fees...

Something is better than nothing! (I paid on Feb. 7th and they refuned me on Feb. 28th!!)

I instantly did a transfer to my bank account in case they change their mind and try to **** the $$$$ back out!
