Pawn shop question...

I was bored one day, so I decided to go to a pawn to see how much they'd potentially rob me out of for my current sub and box. (Its a kicker cvx in the kicker box btw) I'm gearing up to buy a new sub within the next couple of weeks, and I was curious. So I went in and asked the guy if he bought subs and if I could show him mine. I played it, he looked at it, and then asked me how much I was looking for. I figured I'd say something "pawnshoppy" so I went with $40. He shook his head and said I can get cvx's for $29. I asked him where, and he said "I got a catalog." I was like right ok. Then he went on to say its "a place out in california." Anyway I know pawn shops get stuff crackhead cheap but I must know

1. is that complete B.S.?

or

2. Is there really a place somewhere in california where cvx's can be had for $29.

If there is I should've asked him how about w7s...

complete bs. i have owned a pawn shop for almost 30 years. we deal with car audio. if you came in my store you would think it is a car audio shop. pawn shops can not get car audio any cheaper than a sterio shop. he just did not know what he was talking about.

i rob the pawn shops, i buy power acoustik refurbs from vminnovations for around $70 shipped and sell them for $100-120 and ive made quite the profit!
