I was going to head to one this weekend to look for a couple things (lawnmower, router bits, and other stuff). Anyone ever find good deals there? I saw a thread where a guy found some old-school amps for a steal.
Post up your finds.

If you look really hard @ the one by bob gibson's on 6th ave you can find some good stuff, a lot of things they have they don't know what it is worth. They had at least 3 PPI art amps last time I went in there.

The only other one that has good prices is the one by Ryan's accross from walmart that is on the service road. Sometimes they do, but they are hit or miss. The rest of them are extremely overpriced. Like 300 bucks for a 275 watt power acoustik amp overpriced. I'm not sure about Huntsville though.

Some years ago I found these in a pawn shop for $45.

Fosgate "The Punch Classic" SVC 8 Ohm tens. After emailing RF back and forth and getting the specs for them (only rated for 100w RMS) I wired them in parallel and fed them off of the bridged output from two channels of a KAC-846.

Are they great subs?

No.

Considering I ran them for years and then sold them to my now ex-landlady for twice what I paid for them and she's been using them now for about 5 years they were well worth what I paid for them.
