living in a college town is ftw....id hit the local pawn shops every week to see what goodies they had. I once bought an Audiocontrol EQX for $40 because they thought the peak indicator light was the power on light....so it never lit up when they tested it they thought it was broke....lulz

I've had good luck out of pawns shops as well. Especially buying old receivers. I can't even count the times I've bought an older unit with separate A and B for 2 channels. I kinda feel shady, but hey, they should know how to work them.

I don't usually find much good stuff around here, but I did snag an RF600a4 (the good one's) for $55 in great shape. I found an Earthquake D200hc Mark 2 (somewhere in the range of 1500-2000 watts) at a local pawn shop for 60 bucks a couple months ago. Thay had it listed as a 200 watt amp.

so am I grossly overpaying at 200$ for Earthquake D200hc Mark 2 car amp 2000 watts rms one?

using it to power 2 1042d alpine type R's.

good find. local pawn shop here jacks their shit up. then again they sell new car audio also lol.
