I'm going to focus on my new project now after building some Noah's 8's for my parents. The primary goal is to get a reasonable amount of bass in a 10' x 12' dorm room, which is pretty small. I'm going to use 1 of my car's Fi SSD's since I don't drive that much being in college. Since I have dual 4 ohms, are there any amps out there that are 2 ohm stable? I know Dayton's line of amp rack's are 4 ohms stable, but I didn't see anything about 2 ohm stability. If not, I guess I'll have to use both subs lol.
For the top-end, what would be good for treble? I see a lot of horn tweeters on these applications, so maybe I should do that? I'm not really sure -- I'm pretty new to this stuff.
My last questions have to deal with the crossover and the tuning. I'm planning on porting the box, so what would be a reasonable tuning frequency for this application? Since I'm sure the crossover specs are dependent on the tuning, what would be the best way to find the x-over points?
