HELLO,

JUST A QUICK QUESTION TO INSURE I AM HOOKING MY SPEAKERS UP CORRECTLY. WHEN TWO SPEAKERS ARE HOOKED UP IN PARALLEL IT DIVIDES THE POWER BETWEEN THE TWO SPEAKERS. EX. 300W OUT SPLITS TO 150W PER SPEAKER? AM I CORRECT? IF NOT PLEASE CORRECT ME. ALSO ONE MORE;

TO HOOK IN PARALLEL: AMP'S POSITIVE TO FIRST SPEAKER'S POSITIVE POST, THEN THAT SPEAKERS NEGITIVE TO THE SECOND SPEAKER'S POSITIVE, THE THAT SPEAKER'S NEGITIVE TO THE AMP'S NEGITIVE? IS THIS CORRECT?? AGAIN IF I AM WRONG PLEASE CORRECT ME. THANKS A LOT GUYS

You are describing series. Parallel is all positives to amp positive, all negatives to amp negative. And, power always gets equally distributed when running more than one driver from the same channel.

when wiring with parallel the ohm load perceived by your amp is lower than what it actually is. for example if youve got 2 4 ohm subs wired in parallel then your amp is only perceiving a 2 ohm load so your rms will be greater per each channel than it would be at a 4 ohm load.
