Thanks for the helpful post guys, I think I will go ahead and do it for them, it might be a lot of fun.

Now for the perverts talking about my 16 year old daughter, why don't you guys just come over to my house and meet her, that would be better for all of us, it would give me the chance to rid the world of some scum. Sit back behind your keyboard and be a little ***** but if you want to come over....hey i would be happy about it, just don't cry when i cut your nuts off and feed them to you.

I'm 17 and considered a "nice guy" (fawking *****). Can I come over?

am wondering what do you guys think the chance is that the truck will be dented and scratched up with this.

I think there's a good chance that your paint will be marred at some point during the parade. Personally, I wouldn't do it, and, yes, I also have a daughter. Good luck.

Back to the original ?, I'd say have your wife ride shotgun (in the cab), and throw the candy out from there. We went to a parade this summer. Not much candy was thrown from the actual floats (back of trucks, trailers, etc. Some was thrown from inside the actual vehicles. Most businesses, etc. had special "candy" people walking on both sides, and handing out/throwing candy to the little kiddos on the curbside.

If you really have a show truck, I wouldn't risk it (in addition to the liability thing).
