I was looking for an inexpensive 7" LCD double din to install in my Dodge Magnum and after looking at several units, I picked up a PANASONIC CQ-VW100U from Amazon a couple weeks ago. I was tempted to try one of the cheap Chinese no-brand ones on Ebay, but I have had another Panasonic CD H.U. that I was very impressed with, so I thought I'd try another Panasonic. I do have a cheap no-brand DVD 1 din, 3.5" lcd in my Vue, and have not been happy with it's operation, especially it's FM tuner selectivity (or lack thereof)
The Panasonic CQ-VW100U does not have as many bells & whistles as some other H.U.'s, but it has plenty of A/V inputs (have rear view camera, and a 12V digital tv tuner awaiting install when I have time) The DVD picture quality is typical Panasonic razor sharp. I guess my only complaints so far is that it does not come with a remote control (haven't used the remotes in my last 3 H.U.'s anyways), and the display screen does not have any screen savers or eye candy while listening to the tuner. The parking brake wire that disables the DVD video while driving is easily hacked by just grounding this wire (or simply attaching it to the ground wire in the wiring harness).
I wasn't able to find much info on this H.U. before purchasing, so I thought I'd toss up a little info for others. So far I'm very happy with the unit.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
