It is an unwritten rule that presidents children are off limits to these night show hosts.

Then why were they all over Bushs' daughters?There is a double standard weather you want to admit it or not.Even Dave has a rule that no one talks about his illigitmate child that was born out of wed lock,or the son that commited *******.

Why can't jokes be made or even conversations be had on national TV about his family they aren't even in politics so what saves them from being humilated.

The joke was odviously in bad taste and little reserch was probably done to see WHICH daughter was actually there.It was just a cheap shot at Palin and a weak attempt to apoligize.

Letterman apologizes and that still isn't good enough.

So this is the first time a comedian has joked on television about an 18 year old getting knocked up by local celebrities?

Not the point. The joke was directed at the 14 year old daughter of a conservative governor by a leftist "comedien". The double standard and somehow blaming this whole flap on Gov. Palin is the issue. And Mr. Letterman did not apologize...if you think that was an apology, that was a pretty weak "apology". And if he was wrong, why was he "apologizing"?
