Pair or single sub

Looking for either a single sub that can be wired to a 4 ohm load and handle 500 watts rms. or else a pair of subs that can each be wired to 2 ohms and handle 250 watts each. Let me know what you have. I realize this isn't a lot of power and some people might laugh me out of here but I am slowly trying to get back into the car audio scene on a budget so the cheaper the better.

I would like the best of both worlds, but who wouldn't lol. Right now I think I would rather be loud and eventually I will upgrade to better cleaner gear.

A JBL GTO series sub will handle that much power and it's very affordable. What size do you need and what space do you have for a box?

It's going in the back of a durango so space isn't an issue at all. I was thinking about going with a single 12 or 15. Maybe a pair of 10s or 12s just trying to see what's put there/ suggestions. Like I said I have been away from this for a while so I don't know what's the newest trend is. When I left FI was just starting to take off.

I have a like new pair of IDMAX v3 12 dual 4 ohms coils. rated at 1000 rms but plays just fine with 200+ watts. Looking for $450 shipped to lower 48 for the pair or $250 shipped each.
