Pair of budget subs

I'm looking a for pair of descent 12" subs, 2 ohms dvc (or 4ohm single), atleast 250rms each (cvr or whatever). I'm thinking of spending about $100 maybe more if i like it (i know i'm cheap but i gotta try). I'm mainly looking for a pickup so i don't have to worry about shipping. I live in 91706 (LA country).

$100 each and you can get decent subs, but $100 for both you may as well not bother with it

i'm not trying to go really loud. I've heard 1 cvr and they're pretty decent and not too expensive when new. 2 would be even better. And i hope its not too much to ask for 2 cvr's for $100. So other subs that are of equal quality will hopefully be on sale.

why not just go with a single 12?...you can get a better woofer for your buck and get more wattage from the amp...IMO...i have been using a single woofer for years...easier to build a box for...less room needed...

I would go with a single sub but i already have a box for 2. I don't have the experience and tools to build a box and it will cost me more money. This will be a replacement for the jl 12w0 that i'm currently running. The subs are rated at only 150rms each and I'm putting 300+rms to each. I mean, they can handle it fine while still being able to sound good. I've been running them for almost 2 years now. But wouldn't it be louder and/or cleaner if I get a higher rated sub?
