pair of 15's...

sold the hot running l7's and made 150 off em //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif so now its time for a pair of 15's to use the 1200@1 ohm my kx1200 puts out

looking to spend 400 + shipping no more for a pair of 15's that will be happy with 600 rms a pop or 1200 for the pair; and a smaller box.

thinking the audioque 2.5's, but their site says they need a 4.5cuft box each; and dosnt say anything more/else about if they are recomended ported or sealed or what the deal is with them.

also thinking maybe 2 memphis m3 15's, but once again i have no information about if they are better off in a vented or sealed box, and of what size.

i have 8cuft or so to work with; any other suggestions? any box size/tuning recomendations?

I dont think the L7s took the power, hence hot running l7 in his post. Could be wrong.

And how did 2 L7s not handle a KX1200.1?

I had one on 2000w RMS and it held up like a champ.

i got 2 08 l7 12's in a kicker vented box, the loaded setup that goes for 700+ on most sites for 300 bucks brand new never seen power, but they are dual 2 ohms, meaning i have a 2 ohm load, or a .5...

they just arnt using my amp to its potential at 2 ohms + it was time to try something new; as ive never been a fan of prefabbed boxes. not to mention i paid 300 bucks and sold them for 450...
