Paint the Port?

I'm building my first box today with a slot port.

What's the benefit in painting the port?

Any recommendation on color or type?

Well, most paint it black just so it kind of hides any imperfections in the port and any glue-smears that may still be down the port and also just to make it generally more pleasing to the eye, rather than bare MDF...but the standard is pretty much black

yea i dont think their is a benefit to painting the port. i like to FG the port befor i aseble the port. and then add leds or someshit to make it look cool. (using a flat sander makes it easy and quick to do)

certain colors add certain things.

black = splz

yellow = hpz

orange = torquez

pink = dick size

blue = amporz

etc.
