Find a buddy with a shop n spray gun and do all the work yourself... I painted mine for about $700 including paint (from NAPA), sandpaper, buffing compount, polish, etc.
Or do all the prep work yourself (sand, etc) and have a local shop do the actual spraying. From my experience it's mad easy to shoot primer and base coat, but clear is where you'll have problems.
I'm sure you could get a shop to spray clear on your fully prepared base-coated ride for a couple hundred.
DIY for the win.
