say i wanted to get the subs from option 1 but the amp from option 3. would this be ok or do they not mix well
You could just have to match up rms powers close as you can. Its better to have your amp have more power then you can always adjust your gain settings on the amp to match the sub you pick.
Any particular reason you want that amp? I understand if you are picky about the way your amps look. That amp will underpower those subs by quite a lot. Its okay to underpower,it wont hurt the sub any,but there is a larger chance of the clipping the amp.

ok now i understand so i think ill probably go with the two 12 inch memphis power subs and the amp from option 1. but im still not sure what im going to do about a box. i dont want to spend so much for one but im afraid to attempt to build my own. and i need to worry about installation also. im not exactly positive on how to install this stuff but i have a pretty good idea. what if i took it to some local store and bought a box from them and just had them install everything for me? anyone know of a price for this by any chance?

the only reason i wanted the amp was because of the price. appearance doesnt mean anything to me at all really.

Honestly, as long as you go to a place and at least act like you know your shit, they won't give you the run around.
Most places will charge $60-$80 for an amplifier install.It all depends, sometimes less.You shouldn't pay more than $80 for an amp install. I believe best buy charges $69.99 but I'm not positive.It shouldn't be any extra to have them hook the subs up to the amp either, but if it is, do it yourself or have a knowledgable friend help.But have them do it if they can, that way if anything goes wrong they can't blame it on you.
In all reality you're probably capable of doing it yourself, but I'm not familure with your vehicle so I can't say how hard it is.

Do you know anyone around you that is good with carpentry or is mechanically inclined at all? Freinds, Family, neighbors etc? You could have a shop do it for you but it would cost a lot more than doing it yourself, and dont get it done buy Best Buy. Many people on this forum will build boxes for you, for a price of course, but cheaper than any shop would.

And best buy isn't as bad as some of these drama queens make it out to be.I know of some VERY capable installers that work at best buy.

yes i have family that could help with the install but im just not sure. ill give some places a call and see what they would charge for an install. like mountaineer man said 60-80 is almost worth the hassle and at least i know it SHOULD get done the right way

If they mess up the install, then it's their fault and not yours.And THEY will fix it. Just ask around about a reputable shop in your area.Or find a local TRUSTED ca.com member, not one of the wannabe installers.
