ok now one other question. if i order the kicker package and had it sent to my house would i be able to take it to best buy and have them install it for me?
Just install it all your self. Best Buy is expensive for installs and half of the time they do a half *** job anyway.

Best Buy will charge you a fortune to put it in, prolly around $250 cause you didn't buy anyhting from them. And like Fargof said they will do a half assed job and try to sel you things you won't need. Find a buddy to help you put it in

haha yeah i figured they would screw me over but i dont have many other options. what about another car audio store like a local place? or would they be the same as best buy?

I can't speak for any other local stores but I would do it at mine, I would just have to charge you a little more then someone who bought the stuff from me. I would call them and ask them, worst thing they say is no.

yeah ill start giving some places a call. but would everyone agree that the kicker package is a good starter one? and is the amp enough to power both subs enough.

Yea............Well the fact is all the managers cared about was the customer who bought their stuff from Best Buy, obviously cause there making more money off of it. And when we decided to do one for an outsider they look down on it cause were waisting 4-5 hours that coulda been used to please an actual customer.
So we charge people more to keep the bulls happy. But it was nice to install something other than the usual crap we would put in.
Take it to a local specialized shop. Like someone said before it'll prolly cost a lil more but there usually more trust worthy.

Why dont you see if theres someone here on the forum that is in your area, and willing to help you build a box & install it all? That amp will push em fine. Its really not all that hard to install yourself.
Watch this video, it has a lot of info in it.
Yes, the kicker package is a good starter system... Although you could do better with 300 dollars.
