PA3000Db or Bxi 2600D @.5 or 1, Which Combo??!

Im getting some pioneer premier 3000spl's and can go either route, 2ohm or 4ohm. I dont know what would be best amp wise, so if I can figure that out then I will order the corrisponding subs tomarrow. What is best in terms of a daily driver that likes loud A music.

Im leaning towards the bxi @.5 cause I hear people do it all the time and I will get the Max out of the amp. But I really like the appearance of the PA?

I don't think you should go .5 with either ohm. I doubt if they'll last long at that ohm load.

Either up ur budget to something better or buy two smaller ones to run at 2ohm altogether...i guess.

The PA won't have a problem running @ .5 ohm, but I'm with Dragnix on this one. Just get the appropriate impedance subs to run the amplifiers correctly.

just get 2 Dual 4 ohm woofers wire them parallel and get a 1 ohm load. And out of those choices I would go with the PA. It is cheaper and will put out close to the same power of the Hifonics, I have actually heard the PA might do a little more.

not to hijack your thread. i was also looking at the PA3000Db for my atomic ap/spl. would i be able to run it at .5 with the ap/spl, and how do i know what ohm sub i have or is it just how i wire it?

the PA is probly overall a better built amp then the hifonics. the PA has been proven to put out rated power time and time again and take the abuse on a daily basis (something not all amps can do). get the right ohm config first of all. then go with the PA.

which is more than the pa will do at 1.. from the tests i've seen anyway.

and i wouldn't try the bxi at .5
