well, i decided to get this amp instead of a replacement soundstream pic1.1700d

anyone have any idea how much current it will draw at 1 ohm, and what power it'll put out?

i only need about 1600W, so it should be plenty, but i was hoping for a little headroom //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

and my electrical is stock (besides big three) so i'm hoping it's reasonably efficient (it's class d, so it shouldn't be horrible... i hope).

Sorry OT, but what was the problem with your SS? I was considering a 2 channel SS.

I think the pic1700 and the a3kdb are pretty much the same amp on the inside. So you should be able to plan on similar, if not the same performance.

i think it's something they got on some kind of overstock/buyout and are selling pretty cheap.

it was BNIB, but a few years old.

after i returned it they said they have had quite a few of that model returned recently, that's why i went with the power acoustik.

also, i think the pic1700d has the same board as the pa2400d which i think is rated to do 1800W @ 1 ohm.

they both have all the same filters, and it looks like a similar case-style, so i assume it will be comparable, but hopefully a step up.
