i found this:

p880: signal to noise ratio: 105db dynamic range:95db

cd-500: signal to noise ratio:better than 100 db dynamic range: better than 90db

now please tell me which one has a more natural and cleaner sound? will the nakamichi annoy me because of its too little settings? or i'll enjoy it w/o the functions?

how about 9860 , pxa/h701 versus the tow?

Im ooold school, back when there were only tape decks, yes, tape decks!, for sq nakamichi ruled! I havent heard their new cd decks, but they must sound **** good. Ive since used alpine, but my 9856 leaves me wanting processing features. Ill probabily go with pioneer next hu.

I understand that sound is more important than how a h/u looks but i will never put anything in my ride that looks like junk. Head units that look and sound great are all over the place now days. I personally hate the stock look. I think the Nak looks like something you can find in a stock Toyota.

If you are an audiophile, and like to have the ability to change several frequency setting then the 880 prs is a better bet. Unless you plan on buying an external processor, the 880 is capable of better sound imo with its large eq.

Actually Eclipse IS what you would find in a stock Toyota.

^^ In some cars the stock look looks alot better. Just depends on the ride..

does the nak cd-500 have a better sq than the p880 in its best tuning? if yes , how much is the difference?
didn't we already go over this?

also i can't believe people could recommend a headunit not knowing what processing or how he was gonna run his syetm, passive or active

regardless i'd take a rockford 8250 over a nak //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Kind of off topic question. I have a Eclipse 8454 and I want to run a two way active, can this be done w/ this deck or should I buy another? I will be running them off a Sundown 100.4.

got to switch it to pro mode and it has a 3-way xover. excellent deck there for running active

That is alway pretty helpful //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif ..... especially with Eclipse HU's.
