Oversized Box In Grand Prix

Im tryin to fit a ported dual 15 box in my grand prix se and i measured it all out in the trunk and the measurements fit but the box is 2 inches too deep to fit in the opening of the trunk. How do most people fit huge boxes in their trunk?

Pontiac trunks are beachs dude....but looks like you gonna have to rebuild it i ran into that same problem with my trunk....

i cut my back deck on both sides, then folded it up about 6 inches, then slid the box in sideways and straightened it out in the trunk, then pulled the back dash back down.

just build the box in the trunk.

angles im sure you can build the box more advanced with angles and get the air space of a reg rectangle box right?

more work but unless ya build 1 box a day a few extra hours work on the table saw isnt to bad

i put a bar under a box we built and lifted up on the back and it slid in...it was a 99 grand prix gt...get in as far as you can the go under box with bar and wedge up might help you out

I had to remove my whole back seat and rear deck and it has sort of a lip onyhe edge of te rear deck I had to bend it back all the way around in my 02 GA

ya its going be hard to fit 18 tall. i got one in there 36 wide by 15.5 tall and 21 deep, and i had to bend the medal around the trunk and like push on the box for hour to get it in there. is that even enough airspace for 2 15 ported?

not really sure just bought it off craigslist for a good deal. i dont get why they would make there trunks so retarded to get stuff into, cause the measurements fit jus getting it in is the problem
