Overrated amp, go to a lower ohm?

sounds good will do. hopefully will some video, we can see if this amp can really push 3 RE SE's. they are rated at 600 RMS a peice but i hear people pushing them a ton more.

I was kinda thinking of buying this amp.. but I'm trying to stay away from it. I either want two 1500W @1ohm amps or one big one that will do 3000 @ 2ohms..
Would be nice for somebody to test one of these and see how much power it puts out.
well give me a week (thats when subs get in)

I have no doubt that the quality of the amp is shit, i have to becarful not to bump it to hard and mount it tight. But if it can put out nubmers fairly close to posted then great!

I'm trying to justify buying two SAZ-1500Ds... from dB-r...
I'll be waiting for your post..
hmm how much he sellin those for, i see on the sundown website they are a little pricey, 600-700 bux i think. If i was ever to buy one i would go used probably.

Yep... although it does quite a bit more than rated power. dB-R tested it on his bench to do 770 watts @ 3.93 ohms actual un-clipped on an o-scope... rated 300 @ 4 ohms.
thats gonna be a good comp amp for that range.

Hey if it doesnt work out with this amp (which it may not... o well) may be looking at getting something else. I dont see myself affording a 3000d tho. lol

... and for some reason the PA amp has 4 gauge wire inputs and the SAE-1200D has 1/0 inputs.

Just some food for thought here... they aren't expecting anyone to see this amp produce much more than 1000 - 1200 watts for extended periods with 4 gauge inputs.

you are sqaushing my hopes and dreams!!!! lol i am running 0 gauge up to it and then running through distro block, so about 4-6 inches of 4 gauge

Good call. A 4 gauge run from the front all the way to the back would probably drop around a full volt or more across the wire at full output on this amp.

sundownz, wanna give upa a roundabout what kinda price range we are looking at on those 1200d's? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Sure - they are on pre-order for $350 on my SSA forum right now. They should be in stock shortly.
