Overrated amp, go to a lower ohm?

ok so i have the Power Acoustik 5500D finally!

But everone is like, "its overrated rms amounts"

I have 3 RE SE DVC 2ohm subs coming. Should i wire up to 3 ohm or 1.34 ohm.

3 ohm they will get about 2100-2000 watts rms (per the overrated figures)

1.34 ohm will get about 2900 watts rms (per the overrated figures)

ORRRR!!!

Just say fuk it and run it at 1.34 ohms and just keep gain real low? not sure if there are any disadvantages to doing this other than i hear that the higher the ohm the less quality(not sure if thats real true either, just rumor)

specs!

1.34

I've seen one of these on 2 type R 12's @ 1 ohm and they were taking it, not easily, but they took the power. I'd say you would get about 1,800-2,000rms at 1.34

also seen 4 of these on 4 tc 5200's, they will definetely help make the noise with proper electrical

The subs are only rated for 600w RMS each. So just wire it to 3 ohms. You should be pushing around rated power to each sub, and you will be putting less strain on your amp.

No... this amp is not even close to the SAZ-3000D.
lol, i figured as much, but someone thought posting pic of the amp guts would help.

Is ther any disavantages to running at 1.34 ohms (which, by the posted watts rms would over power the subs big time) and just having the amp turned potentially way down? or run it at 3 ohms and pretty much get close to clipping...

let me specify this is daily driver

I was kinda thinking of buying this amp.. but I'm trying to stay away from it. I either want two 1500W @1ohm amps or one big one that will do 3000 @ 2ohms..

Would be nice for somebody to test one of these and see how much power it puts out.
