Overpowering subs?

So i got a pair of infinity references (1230w's) rated @ 300 wRMS and am looking into the power acoustics a1000db (800 wRMS x 1), the HiFonics Titan TX 1005D (700wrms x 1)(1 ohm stable) im leaning towards the PA because of the price but will my subs be ok with the extra power, right now im running 250wRMS to them and would like to upgrade so in the future i can upgrade subs. thanks.

Doubtful if you get any gains out of it...power compression is likely to set in.

If you were to purchase those amps, all it would take is a proper setting of the gain to get 600 watts...

They are good "budget" amps. If you have more cash to spend, I would recommend doing it.

Both have been known to be a bit over rated. Or rated @ 14.4v so you get a bit less than rated. But for the price they are hard to beat.

I would however look at a Brutus rather than a titan from Hifonics.

well the brutus doesnt really have an amp that 600-800 @ 2 ohms, and i kinda want a 1 ohm stable amp. for more options later.

Yes 900 @ 2ohms. Just remember to set the gain for 34.64v If you hook them up @ 2ohms. This will yield 600 watts from the amp.
